So today is the big day - Ryan is taking the GRE (graduate record examination). Passing this test will mean he is officially in grad school. Wow!
It's a two and half hour test with three components - analytical writing (essays), quantitative (math), verbal (vocab). This whole week has been filled with late nights of studying. He's even had to miss the annual brothers camping/fishing trip with the boys in his family to take this test - which is a huge sacrifice!
Mostly he's been studying vocab - words like plucky, bombastic, and torpor. If you automatically thought plucky had something to do with a chicken and that bombastic meant your 'da bomb' and fantastic - then your vocab is right in line with mine. =) Some of these words even stumped Carrie, our dictionary-reading sister. So, if you think of it before 1pm today, cross your fingers for Ry!

So he's an hour into it by now. Poor guy! I bet he'll do really great though. Plucky... that sounds familiar. But that's about it! Grad school huh... ew! I'm not patient enough for that, methinks :)
But mostly he's boring! Just kidding Ry, good luck!
Now you need to celebrate its OVER! Korby
When do we get to see his grades?
