proph

Yesterday morning we had on KBYU during breakfast, a conference address by President Monson. Sadie was turning around as far as she could in her high chair to watch (she doesn't usually care to watch TV), so I turned her chair and told her "That's the Prophet, President Monson. Doesn't he look nice? Can you say Prophet Sadie?" My little parrot replied "proph" - she's a lazy talker sometimes and just says words half way. We finished getting ready for church and about an hour and a half later in sacrament meeting Sadie is sitting on my lap flipping through a book. She says the sound that goes with each picture as she points to it..."woof", "mow", "moo", etc...she flips to a picture of the Prophet Joseph Smith. She points and says excitedly "proph, proph"...seriously!? Ry and I were shocked. When she finds that picture I tell her it's Joseph, I've never labeled it with the word prophet before, she did that on her own. Little children are really close to heaven...what a sweet moment to be a part of.

He really is a true prophet of God - sent to restore the Gospel. Ry and I are taking an institute class together - LDS History - love it! We're learning so much & feel the spirit every time. By far the best class we've ever had. So Joseph Smith has been on my mind a lot lately.

He will be known for either good or evil, there is no middle ground. If you're not sure if he was a true prophet, pray about it and ask. What an amazing man.

that is so sweet. aren't children precious. My nephew talked way early (like partial sentences at a year). My sis and her hubs were living in my grandmas house (which had no pics of Jesus displayed). One day he was at my parents house and pointed to a picture of Jesus and said Jesus clear as day. we all looked around and asked did you tell him thats who it was... nope, no. No one had remembered telling him. I teared up.

on a side note it drives me crazy cuz addison only says the first half of every word too. Lazy little farts! :)

How sweet is that. It's my favorite thing to do with my little ones. They always come to us knowing and recognizing Christ and Jesus is always one of their first words. It's amazing and beautiful how much respect and love for the spirit they are born with. You are such a good mom.
