Every December, usually the week before Christmas, for the past 17 years the Schaefermeyers and the Geldars (cousins on my mother-in-law's side) have gotten together for the Nazarene Supper. We eat food that Christ would have eaten by candle light - fish, bread, cheese, fruit, dates, etc. It is such a neat tradition! When everyone was little they would eat on the floor...now its at the table. But it's still really neat. Its fun to get together and reflect on Christ this time of year and spend time with family. I hope Ry and I can continue this tradition with our own family.
This year Greg, my father-in-law, suprised us with a viewing of the first Nazarene Supper. It was great! Everyone with their post '80's hair and clothes. Ry was such a cute little guy. We also watched a little into the present giving of that year, Ry got a mini pin-ball called Star Fighter.
After the video he went downstairs and reappeared with the same Star Fighter box that was in the video. He really has saved everything! We have a lot of micro machines too. Its great! He flipped the switch and with the 'expired in 1997' batteries still working, we had a little fun. Good times.
